Miami Beach Trolley:

You can ride for FREE on the the cute, vintage looking Miami Beach Trolley. Learn about the different routes and schedules here.

 

Metromover:

When you cross the MacArthur Causeway (the bridge that starts on 5th Street) and make it to the other side (mainland Miami) you’ll find yourself in an area near Downtown Miami called “OMNI.” There’s a small bus terminal there and, if you look up, you’ll see the Miami Metromover (aka People Mover)

This is a great way to see the Downtown Miami area slightly from above and without spending a dime. Yes, the Miami Metromover is FREE.

This little electrical train runs every day from 5am until midnight and connects the Downtown Miami, Brickell, Park West and Omni neighborhoods. It arrives frequently. You can transfer between routes at specific points. Here’s a map with the Metromover stations.

Routes:
  • Inner Loop: the shortest ride. Circles the Downtown Miami area.
  • Omni Loop: Circles the Downtown Miami area and heads North towards the PAMM – Perez Art Museum Miami.
  • Brickell Loop: Circles the Downtown Miami area and heads towards Brickell and the Financial District.
