Shopping in South Beach

South Beach is a place to walk around, get some sun, and smell the ocean. All of these you can do while shopping and dining at Lincoln Rd and Ocean Drive.

Shopping In South Beach Miami Lincoln Road Mall

Lincoln Rd Mall:

This promenade/pedestrian road spans eight blocks between Washington Ave and Alton Rd in Miami Beach. Most of its stores open around 10 am and close at 11pm (restaurants stay open until later) seven days a week.

If you are looking for dining options, you have them. Just coffee? no problem! Shopping? you bet. With over 120 stores, including art galleries and a Movie Theater, you’ll have plenty to do.

Here’s a list of all the shops at Lincoln Rd Mall.

Shopping In South Beach Miami Ocean Drive

Ocean Drive:

Remember Miami Vice? Or, perhaps those photos of gorgeous models in fashion magazines? They where shot on Ocean Drive. This street runs 1.3 miles (2.1 km) from 1st Street (the southern most point in Miami Beach) to 15th Street and hosts many shops, bars, and restaurants with outdoor seating.

This is definitely more of a dining location but there is some shopping to do here as well. On Ocean Drive itself you’ll find small boutiques selling anything from beachwear to art.

Also, one block west (the next street parallel to Ocean Drive) on Collins Ave between 8th and 5th streets you have a decent commercial area with stores such as Armani Exchange, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, Tommy Hilfiger, and Aldo, to name a few.

These stores are open seven days a week and most open at 10am (closing times vary)

Shopping In South Beach Miami Fifth and Alton

5th & Alton:

From the distance you might think this building, which seems to take over and entire block is a full blown shopping mall. However, it’s more of a parking garage that hosts a few stores. Yet, 5th & Alton is a shopping stop for many tourists looking for electronics (the only Best Buy in Miami Beach is there), clothing, and gifts (it has a Ross Dress For Less and a TJ Maxx)

Stores open around 9am and close around 10pm. Parking is free if you stay less than two hours.

Right next to it you have a Publix supermarket, in case you want to stock up on some groceries.
