If you get a parking ticket in Miami Beach here's what you need to know:
- You have 30 days to pay for the parking ticket.
- The fine for not paying to park is $18.
- If you pay after the 30 day period, the fine amount is increased.
- IMPORTANT: you will not be able to pay for your parking ticket right away. The City issues tickets but doesn't upload them into their system until around 7 days after.
How to pay for a parking ticket:
- If you are renting a car, an easy option is to take the ticket to the rental car office when you return the vehicle. They will charge your credit card for the amount on the ticket and will take care of the rest.
- You can also pay your parking ticket online (remember to wait about a week after you got the ticket)
An extra tip:
- Always park head on in public parking lots and garages. Otherwise, you will get a ticket.
